face pain, chest discomfort, neck swelling, breathing problems?

a little about me first...... i am 24 years old, male, 5'7" and about 130 lbs. about 3 weeks ago i came down with what doctors said was the flu, (in the ER), and was put on TamiFlu, 60mg. Allegra, and Cheritussin AC... symptoms did not seem to improve much so i went to my regular doctor office, but was seen by his partner. I then put on Naproxen for chest tightness and Zithromax (Z-pak)for possible bacterial infection, and an albuterol inhaler. That seemed to work for the chest pain i was having besides the inhaler, which made me feel like i was much more swollen. So i finished the zithromax last saturday, havent had chest *pain* since then, however, i do have chest tightness still, and yesterday my throat felt so swollen i thought my head was swelling up. so again i went to the doctor... was seen by the same doctor that prescribed the zithromax, and this time i was put on 180mg allegra once per day, and Nexium (once per day) for the gas i was feeling in my stomach at night. Today my throat doesnt feel as swollen, but i still feel some discomfort here, my chest is a little tight, and it feels like my bronchial tube is congested along with my nose congestion that i have every day. I have also been taking various forms of robitussin every day during these last 3 weeks also. Now for the current symptoms... right side of face, upper k9 tooth is a stump, possibly infected or abcessed as i can feel a tenderness when i press on my face beside my right nostril, congestion in the nose, throat, and chest, right arm seems to have swelling just under the arm pit (continued to part2)

Many of your symptoms could be related to your dental abscess.  This infection could be seeding bacteria into your blood stream.  From here it could be effecting any part of your body.  You should have this dental abscess dealt with as soon as possible.

You should also have a chest x-ray and electrocardiogram (EKG) to address the chest tightness.

wont let me finish for today, maybe this will work... swelling just under the right armpit, not noticable by looking though, i just feel it, right arm kind of tingles every now and then, i can walk up steps but my legs feel a little week... could this be related to my dental abcess? my doctor prescribed me 825mg Augmentin for when i go to have my tooth pulled, should i take this now before the tooth is pulled to prevent any bacterial flaring? should i have the tooth drained first? is this even what could be causing it? i just wish someone had an answer for me as im afraid to have all these problems now and go have a tooth pulled and be on pain killers on top of everything else...

good news, had root canal done today, dentist said he got out all of the decayed tissue and he said if there is infection left my body would get rid of it on its own.... this was at 9am, now it is 6:15 here, i was doing ok, actually had my appetite back, fever was up to 99 about 30 minutes ago, and my throat feels as if its swelling again, like breathing discomfort there... maybe its just allergies or because of infected sinuses my allergies are spiking right now, so i took one of my 180mg Allegra... i dont have any facial swelling that i can tell... but i will keep an eye on that. just writing to let everyone knows the progress incase anyone else goes through this! ill post again later if theres any change.

I am a 28 year old paraplegic, broke my back in 98. prior to 98 i smoked alot, probably more than alot. after i got injured i started smoking again. when i was 24 or 25 i got sick from in hind sight seemed like some kind of lung infection. i have recovered since then, it took a while, but i recently have had congestion and discomfort in the lungs. i also have suffered from difficulty breathing which was attributed to other problem from the accident. it is spring now and the doctor i saw at midnight the other night said it wasn't copd, which has the same simptoms that i was facing. he said it was just allergies. he said i was to young for copd, but i insisted he do what ever tests that he needs to to rule out copd. so i am going in soon for some kind of test on my lungs. it feels terrible and it is hard to believe this discomfort and congestion is caused by allergies alone, any input would be apreciated.
