Concerned Actions With Girlfriend In Regards To HIV

I know that this question may sound familiar to previous questions but I searched and read all those possibilities, the difference is this is about repeat exposure and not a single exposure with the same person.  My girlfriend and I of about 5 months have had repetative oral sex and I have fingered her multiple times.  I was tested when we got together for HIV 1&2 and was negative via Oraquick Advance Rapid Testing by the oral method.  I asked her about testing and she said she was tested in 2003 and tested negative and what little sex she has had since was safe sex.  I have no reason to not believe her but still I am having problems with the thought of the possibly of HIV.  I asked her to get retested and she said she will but has not yet, and that is why I was asking this question to validated on wheter you think I should get tested and when from what I will explain to you below.  To start off we have not had Vaginal or Anal sex at all and I also know by reading the info on this site that what we have done is low or no risk exposure, but still I just want to know.  I have performed unprotected oral sex on her about 5 times being the last time was about August 8, 2005.  I have fingered her multiple times and the last time being the end of August 2005 both in her Vagina and her Anus.  She has performed unprotected oral sex on me multiple times being the last two times were on the 25th of August, 2005 and 16th of October, 2005. So I just wanted your feedback in regards to my possible exposure, even say with the remote possiblities of sores in the mouth, fingers, and penis(I know that this is pushing it, just want to know even with the worst case scenario) and if to get tested when should I get tested, like should I wait 4 or 6 weeks or longer or should I get tested now and not wait until 4 weeks since my last exposure. I have read on all the questions similiar to mine that you say 4-6 weeks is sufficient but this is now driving me crazy and I want to get tested but not to soon, I just want to put this behind me and not mess everything up with my girlfriend because I care for her deeply... Any and all feedback will be greatly appreciated... Thanks very much...

As you say yourself, there is no particular reason to believe your partner has HIV.  The details of what you have and have not done sexually are totally irrelvant unless she IS infected.  If you're not willing or able to trust her confidence that she is not infected, then she should be tested.  The two of you could go together and get tested by the same provider.  If it turns out either of you in fact is infected (I would bet my house against it), then return to the forum and we can address the risks of transmission and how to lower them.

Perhaps most important, I wonder what this says about your relationship that you apparently don't trust that information from her.  If you truly "care for her deeply", then you may need to analyze why the question even is on your mind.
