abrasion from sex/masturbation

by bing84, Nov 21, 2005 12:00AM
After a night of pretty intense/rough sex that lasted around an hour I noticed a single red bump(papule) that seemed to be a little inflamed in comparison to the other papules on the penis. The bump appears to be a mini abrasion from the sex and or masturbation afterwards. My last sexual contact before this was 3 months ago and there was never any signs of herpes blisters or symptoms in the 3 months leading up until now. I checked the area probably 4-5 times a day. I was just wondering if this bump sounds more like an abrasion due to the sex or herpes?

Wish I could help, but you can see the lesion and I cannot; i.e., you're a better judge than I can be whether it is due to abrasion.  Herpes doesn't usually appear as just a "red bump"; see other threads (and the herpes article in the link "STD Quick Facts and Articles" at the top of the STD forum) for more complete descriptions of herpes. If in doubt, see a healthc are provider.
