hey doc..here's the story...going out with my friends we went to a mexican strip club/ ***** house...the lady talked me into oral i was protected(i did go down on her tho) ...i told the lady i was a virgin..and we ended up having sex for bout 4 mins...then she was"you want more pleasure?" and took off my condom where i was too drunk to take notice of wtf im doing and had unprotected sex for bout another 2 mins and finished in her.....only sex i've every had in my life....was scared outta my mind the day after ...bout a week later i started to get pain in my groin lymph nodesand i went to clinic had hiv,sphilus,gon and clap test at 11 days in all neg (to soon for hiv and syphilus)for a month i had the groin poin/tesicle pain and sorethoat ...went to the clinic again had a hiv test again at 31 days neg....6 weeks in i got sick runny nose snezzing ..it's been bout 4 months and i still have groin pain and a sore thoat...i think chances are it's herpes...and im fine with that just as long as it's not hiv

1. can you catch a cold from sumone through sex but your not kissing?
2.i had a docter look at my sore thoat checking for enlarged lymph nodes..they were'nt enlarged she said it was very light infection should sorethoats lasts for months?

You had safe sex and your symptoms don't suggest HIV or any STD. That includes both the groin pain and your cold symptoms. Anybody close enough to have sex is close enough to catch a cold, even without kissing. But you are equally likely to have caught it somehwere else. In any case, it doesn't sound serious. If you're worried about HIV, get tested; but you can expect a negative test.

And yes, you can get a cold from anyone you are in contact with.
But Englishman has it right: see a health care provider if you remain worried.
