Did I contract an STD ?

by fingrut, Nov 13, 2006 12:00AM
I had condom protected Sex with a girl on Tuesday (last week).  I did shower after using her body wash (not the my usual one).  On Thursday I got discomfort in the urethra, however there is no pain during urination.  I did eat spicy food on thursday (not sure if it is related to it).

The discomfort is still here about a week after.  Seems to be less though. On Saturday, I felt my body is weak with discomfort in the legs (I do sit on the computer for a long time).  I am just try to write all the facts in case they are relevant.  Booked a Dr. appointment however, the i getting worried about this.  Is there a chance of an STD? herpes? chlymidia or gonerhea ?

On last thing.  I may be suffering from slight dehydration from playing computer game.

Thanks in Advace.  Appreciated.

No STD can pass through intact latex or polyurethane, so you did not get an STD if the condom was in place before there was any contact.  Urethral discomfort without discharge is not a common STD symptom anyway, and the other symptoms (body weakness, leg discomfort, etc) are not those of any STD.

Highly concentrated urine, which can result from dehydration, might cause minor discomfort when urinating.  (If you are so compulsively focused on a computer game that you neglect fluid intake or eating, sounds to me like you need counseling about that addiction!)

See a provider if your symptoms persist, but you can be sure you don't have an STD, at least not one you caught during your exposure last Tuesday.
