did I have a stroke 6 month ago? My PCP negleted to check me out, but symptoms s

Last August I had spinal surgery for a herniated disk and after went to the gym for 4 month walking daily 3 miles at a good speed.

From one day to the next, I had severe pain in my left leg, like muscles are tearing appart and my toes cramping, foot tremors and wants to turn to the inside.

At that time I went to a new PCP and told her about it, also told her that one night I had this terrible headache with sound going from right side of brain to left side, then it stopped.

All my doctor did is perscribe muscle relaxer ( which put me asleep), Valium (which do the same) and antidepression medication. Last month I demanded a referral to my back surgeon and he checked my spine from top to bottom, there is nothing wrong. So he send me to Neurology, the testing there revealed that muscles and nerves are ok, but he neglected to do an ordered EMG, so I have to wait for this appointment.

My Back Specialist said I have problems with balance and motor function, which points to a possible stroke, and I should request an MRI of the brain from my health care provider.

I have Tri-Care Prime and am very disappointed at the way things are handled with me.

I also was diagnozed with emphysema lst year and use oxygen at nicht, have rather low blood presure and suffer latelly from too low BP. After spending about 4 hours at a military hospital emergency room, they could not find anything wrong, other that my BP drops when I stand, but I myself have discovered that this was caused by the muscle relaxer they gave me.

my left leg is driving me crazy, but nobody is doing anything about it.

What happens with your leg when you take the muscle relaxor?

Did you have these issues before the surgery?

When do you have the most pain? Is it during/after/before activities? Is it worse or better at any specific time during the day?

I would keep a log of when you are having problems with your leg and what activities you are doing throughout the day.  Then when you see any doctor about these issues you can show them your log.  Any info may help them make a more accurate diagnosis!

If your PCP is **** or you feel like they're not meeting your needs, in most states and/or insurance companies allow you to transfer to a different one! You as a patient have rights!!
