Results of my bloodwork

by Kat1723, May 01, 2006 12:00AM
Hi,

I just received my bloodwork back and I'm worried about the results. My Hemoglobin is 13.20 (Healthy range is 13.4-18.0}

MCV is 78.00 {Norm-80-100} MCH 26.00 {Norm-27-33} Cholesterol is 209 {norm is <199} Triglycerides 191 {norm is <149}.Now my TSH came back as 1.23 Norm is 0.35-5.50 Is the 1.23 considered to be low? I've been having such a hard time loosing weight,being tired,lack of energy etc.... Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Kat

The thyroid looks fine (normal TSH is 0.4-4.0 in general).  Would look elsewhere for the cause of symptoms unless there is a strong family history of thyroid then would also check thyroid antibodies.

Kat,

Don't forget them to check ferritin and DHEA.  Thats where some of my problem lied and I had to push doctor a little to test for.  FreeT4, Free T3 and TSH are important to.  As I am finding there is more to the piece of the puzzle, then simple bloodwork.
