Hypercalemia with Normal TSH

I am a 25 year old male who was suffering from muscle twitching, anxiety and perceived muscle weakness. I had a neurological exam and EMG that were both clean. Leading up to my test and exam I had extreme anxiety about ALS and am now taking 10 mg a day of Lexapro. In addition to the EMG and neurological exam, an MRI showed no spots and cervical spine was clean as well. My GP repeated thyroid function tests and everything appears fine.

My calcium is slightly elevated and so is my red blood cell count. Any ideas as to what the root cause of my elevated calcium and red cell count might be?

Inc'd RBC could be smoking (if applicable). But a slightly elevated RBC with normal hemoglobin & hematocrit is seldom significant. If repeat calcium is still high, check PTH (parathyroid) level. Overactive parathyroid is most common cause of high Ca. If PTH is low then more investigation needed into high ca.
