TSI information

Can you give me more information regarding TSI numbers and what a decrease in these may indicate....My daughter is 7 and was dx about a year ago with Graves (TSI 255).  She is regulated via methimazole and has been on 5 mg for about 5 months.  Now the TSI is 134.  Does this mean that she may be going into remission soon?  I know that the TSI needs to be below 128, but what is an optimal number?  Any information regarding this would be great!

it means there is a more likely chance of remission -- it's a good sign.  I like to see it normal (<125%) but the decrease shows a good response to the anti-thyroid drug methimazole.  The companion antibody to TSI is TBII - also tends to be elevated in Graves, but the TSI is more usefyl in most cases.  When both are normal, it is even more re-assuring.
