Hyperthyroid causes constant fatigue?

I was diagnosed with Hyperthyroid or Dr told me Graves disease about 2 years ago. I have since had problems surface such as white spots all over my body which doctor told me is part of the symptoms. Is there any way i can get rid of these?
At the same time. I experience fatigue all the time. I am unable to stay awake during work. This cause me to quit 2 jobs so far and i am lost as to what job to find in future since i do not want to have bad job performance in future again. No matter how i try to stay awake.. i just cannot. Is this linked to hypertyroid since i thought only hypothyroid causes lack of energy? Thanks!

Would suggest a dermatology evaluation to make sure the white spots are related and to see if any treatment is available. This may be vitiligo -- another autoimmune process, otherwise I can't think off-hand of another Graves-related white-spot all-over picture.
People with hyper get tired as well but if it's been two years you should have normal thyroid function if you are being treated...

I was diagnosed with mild hyperthyroidism 6 months ago. In retrospect, I've probably had it for a few years. Anyway, I don't ever feel fatigued, but my muscles feel weaker than they've ever been and shake when I put pressure on them. I've done a lot of reading (thank God for the internet) and talked to several doctors. My impression is that this thing is not completely under control by the medical establishment. However they offer a lot of help; You do have to make a commitment to get to the bottom of it. I've had about a doctor's visit per month for the past 6 months, just as many blood tests, labs, etc. and this thing is still not licked. Your fatigue may be linked to the other condition you mentioned. I don't know. Either way, get *everything* checked and re-checked and don't mess around with this stuff. They say hyperthyroidism could lead to serious stuff if left untreated. I have no insurance but I managed to find a non-profit clinic and I take all my appointments very seriously even if I have to wait weeks for them. Good luck to you.
