2 very small hard bumps under my chin at the top of my neck

dr.  i recently have found 2 small hard bumps under my chin at the top of my neck, i have also had 3 wisdom teeth removed in the past 2 months, i have had the hard lumps under my chin now for 4 weeks and that have not changed in size and they are very small.  My dr. first thought they might be swollen lymph nodes but because they are so small he did not think they were lymph nodes, he also has told me that there is nothing abnormal about my neck and he doesn't think there is anything to worry about.  I will also note that my wisdom tooth on that side was severly impacted and that is why i had it removed.  I will also note that i have had a benign tumor behind my ear for as long as i can remember, when i was a kid doctors looked at it and said there was nothing to worry, it has never changed in size and has never hurt or given me any problems, my question is about the 2 small bummps under my check, they are very hard and i'm not sure sure what they are if they are not swollen lymph nodes, with this being said, my doctor has looked at them twice and has assured me that i have nothing to worry about, what do you think?  thanks alot

Lymph nodes still would be the most common cause of the bumps.  You can image the area for a more definitive diagnosis - a neck CT would be a reasonable initial choice of test.

If the imaging confirms a lymph node, and it does not improve with antibiotic therapy, you can consider a referral to an ENT physician for possible biopsy.

That being said, any upper respiratory, or head and neck, infection would lead to enlarged lymph nodes - and this possibility should be evaluated for first.

A blood count should also be done.

These options can be discussed with your personal physician.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
