pain after fascia removal

by pertykitty, Feb 13, 2007 12:00AM
my 8 year old son had a hole in his eardrum repaired in august of 06. it was due to a ear tube that the hole never closed (had one surgery using a "paper" one ear healed the left did not. the dr used a dime sized piece of facia from the back of his ear from his head to repair it. it worked, however, now he at times complains of the pain in this area. today he fell down yelling "my brain hurts" screaming. it lasted a few minutes. the drs office isnt open yet so i am hoping you can give me some info on if this is normal in the healing process. i understand the fascia will not grow back, will this pain end soon? what can cause this? thank you , i am very concerned!
