leg pain during sex

I am a 40-something female in generally good health. Normal weight, activity level, blood pressure. Have not had children. Monogamous 10 years, no history of STDs. Recently (over the past 3-6 months), I have noticed a strange sensation in my inner thigh during orgasm. It feels like it is in the femoral artery. It is a slight pain and continues for up to an hour afterwards. It is not triggered by any other activities. I had knee surgery in that leg 2 years ago, but this problem started more recently. There were no complications of that surgery (i.e., no blood clots). Could this be a blockage in the femoral artery?

Groin/thigh pain during/after intercourse. THis could be musculoskeletal, and may
benefit from evaluation by a musculoskeletal MD (called a physiatrist, -- not a
PSYCHiatrist ! -- ). It may be as a result of positioning. To check this, try having
intercourse in different positions, and see if the pain comes if your lega are not
flexed during sex.
Blood clots tend to cause leg selling, and sometimes baseline tenderness.
