Question Title: Liver PusForum: The Gastroenterology and Liver Diseases Forum

A urine test showed I had some pus in my liver. A blood test also showed MG/DL at 128, sodium at 136, globulin at 3.4, lactate dehydro at 188 and WBC at 12.1. Any clues what these symtoms might indicate? I am also having soreness in my lower right back. Thanks for any insight you may have. Dear John, Pus in the liver or a liver abscess is usually diagnosed with a CT scan of the abdomen or a transabominal ultrasound. I believe you are referring to pus in the urine which indicates an infection of the urinary tract (bladder or kidneys). The elevated WBC count also suggests an infectious process. Pyelonephritis (infection of the kidneys) or kidney stones can present with back and flank pain. Please consult your physician to discuss further diagnosis and treatment. Always check with your personal physician when you have a question pertaining to your health. HFHSM.D.-ym ______ ______
