Bile reflux/ Gerd

I have had problems with my digestive track my whole live. Gall bladder removed. It has been a ride but I'm Still Standing." Last year 7\00 I was sent to Indiana University to see Dr. Glen Lehman (Specialist). I had an ERCP procedure done & discovered that I had a complete Pancreas Divisum. My smaller pancreas duct was almost closed so he opened that & put a stint in. The major duct in my pancreas doesn’t even exist. Then this year 6\01 & had to back to get opened again. So far so good but.....I am having horrible gastro problems. I saw my local Gastro Doc & he performed an endoscopy to confirm that I am producing too much bile. My stomach & esophagus were red & extremely inflamed. I was diagnosed with bile/reflux. I also went to see an ENT doc because I have been hoarse for 5-6 weeks. I fact sometime I completely lose my voice. He told me that my Larynx was irritated & that my laryngitis was caused by Gerd. So I saw my local Gastro Doc again 2 days ago & he told me that because of the ERCP & my duct remaining open now I totally have a reflux problem & that it wasn't acid reflux because I have been on Prilosec 20 mg x daily. He told me it was all Bile & put me on Colestid for a week which we both hope will work. If not he told me that I would have to have Laparoscopic Surgery & tightened my LES. I'm OK with that if it necessary.
My symptoms are: nausea, I have a sour mouth that I am brushing my teeth every hour, I belch up bile & food, also I have a swollen (abdomen) a big pouch right above my navel & I don't know what that is from? Not digesting HELP!!!

Hi - I don't know exactly what to tell you other than maybe you need to make another appointment with Dr. Lehman. I heard he is one of the TOP Gastro doctors in the country. Perhaps he can figure out what is going on. Take care and best of luck to you.
