cohn's and ulcerative colitis

by jasona, Jan 02, 2002 12:00AM
i have crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.  i am a 27 year old male and they were diagnosed with a lovely colonoscopy.  i found the answers to one of my questions regarding the normalcy of rashes on this site, but is there anything to do about the rashes that are involved with ulcerative colitis?  my stools lately have been white when there is anything to them, but normaly it's just bile and it burns like crazy =0  any thoughts on this?  also, last question,  when i cough (and i have a ton of phlegm) it feels as though my rectum is trying to burst it's way out of my rear.  i have one large ulcer towards the end of my rectum.  could this be the cause?  thanks!

I had similar simptoms for years- ulcerative colonitus. Eating pizza and other things without some fiber.  Seventy-percent of cases according to intellihealth.com are peridodic episodes. Diet. If there is obvious blood in the stool, make an appt. I had a few episodes and they have not surfaced again sinced I changed my diet.
