Severe Heartburn and throat problems before and after Nissen Fund.

I am a 24 year old male. I've been having throat problems since late November. In January I was rushed to the hospital with internal bleeding caused by GERD. I was diagnosed with Hiatal hernia and GERD. After a week in the hospital and transfusions, I was put on Prevacid twice a day. I received Nissen Fundoplication in the middle of April because I still had throat problems and increased asthma from the hiatal hernia.
Now, 6 weeks after getting my stomach wrapped, I just had a severe heartburn attach that wouldn't go away for two hours the other night. It really scared me because of almost dying from it in January. I am seeing the doctor again soon, but can anyone help with advice? Why would I still have severe heartburn suddenly 6 weeks after this surgery? I wasn't eating anything to cause it, and I wasn't stressed. What could be wrong causing it?
And has anyone ever heard of my throat symptoms? Many doctors are stumped...There are many different symptoms. It often feels like a bubble or a paste is in my throat that I have to pop out or try to constantly swallow. It sometimes feels raw very low like I have to cough or often clear my throat. It is rarely perfect, and this has been driving me CRAZY for 6 months. I thought the surgery would help, but it's the same. What is this, anyone relate? HELP! I'm becoming a lead singer, and I'm afraid I won't get to live out my dreams because of this! Thank you so much for reading, and God bless you!

Doug, I have been going through the same thing for 1 year. I am a 31 yr old male last july i started coughing and short of breath. I was on meds for 8mths and finally had the nissan surgery on 3/4 of this year . Still having throat problems . If i try to run i get bad- bad- pain in throat ---like if somebody punched me there. I am still getting short of breath and clearing of throat. I wish somebody could help me also . I want my life back also . I am in the same boat. good luck keep in touch email is ***@****
