possible lump

I'm a 27 year old female, about 1 month ago I noticed that it felt like there was a lump inside my "out shoot"; I only feel it when I sit down (very occasionally when I lay on my back), it's not immediately inside, but in a small ways I'd imagine. It feels like there's a BM in there, even when I've already gone or don't need to. There isn't much pain, more of a discomfort. I don't feel bloated, no bleeding, itching, etc. No noticeable change in BM size, etc. No wt. loss, no other signs that I can think of. I've had a few close family members (maternal grandma, father, cousin) diagnosed with cancer (breast, colon, liver) recently. Any ideas of what this might be? I'd be greatful for any info if possible. (Would a detox-type "flush out" help?) Thanks.

A cyst, cancer, or abscess are all possibilities.  It is difficult to say without further examination.

Given the family history of cancer, this should be examined by a physician.  A rectal exam to evaluate the lesion would be the first step.  If it is a cyst or abscess, it can be drained.  If cancer is suspected, a referral to a surgeon for possible biopsy or removal can be considered.

These options can be discussed with your personal physician.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
