Am I hurting myself?

my doctor has given me  many different prescriptions that i take everyday. My question is are these combined together causing me more harm than good? They are Dilantin, levoxyl, lorazepam, prempro, and i sometimes take a sleeping pill. I'm nervous all the time,I'm edgy, tired but can't sleep more than 3-4 hours a night. I feel like I don't have control all the time,I'm argumentitive, and I don't trust very well. Should I stop taking these ? please help soon.

                            THANK YOU

I can't advise you or second guess your doctor because I don't know enough about you.  Usually when there are this many medications, I like to ask for a comprehensive review by a specialist. If your doctor is not a psychiatrist or a psychopharmacolgoist, I would ask him or her for a referral to one of these specialists.

Can you wind back the clock to where all this started or have you always been like this?.

Keep in mind that none of the medications is a CURE and will only give symtomatic relief.

You will eventually have to seek the source of your pain and forget the pain, find the source!.

Try a different Docter! It dosen't hurt to talk to someone else about different alternatives in meds. Also try getting more info about the actions of the meds you are on. Mixtures of so many meds is so hard to manage, you have to be really consistent in taking them on a precise time frame.

good health
